Steam Trading Cards are virtual cards earned by playing games on Steam. Sets of cards can be turned into game badges and tradable Steam community items.
— Steam FAQ

The Steam Trading Cards system was released on 15 May 2013 as a new element to the Steam community. Counter-Strike Nexon: Zombies is so far, the only CSO game to support Steam Trading Cards.

Overview[]

Unlike Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and other games, the cards for Counter-Strike Nexon: Zombies will not have a random drop when played at first time. In order to be eligible for card dropping, player must buy something from the in-game shop. Also cards can be traded for some exclusive items. Collecting all the badges for the first time will result in obtaining a level 1 badge, a randomly selected emoticon and a randomly selected Steam profile background. Consecutive exchanges will upgrade the badges itself, if the player already owns one, up to level 5. First upgrade will earn 100 exp for the Steam level. Second is 200, third is 300, fourth is 400 and the maximum level worth 500 points.

Aside from that, there are also foil badges. Those drop much rarer and they can only be collected once. They are more valuable, altough they still give only 100 exp when collected.
